Atwood: The Atwood Beach House is truly a destination, designed by Obie Bowman. The Atwood encompasses the warmth and charm of the Sea Ranch. Built in window seats are a plus to enjoy naps, nature, or a good book from. The views are comparable to some ocean front homes. The bluff top trail, Blackpoint Beach and the Moonraker Recreation Center are all a short walk away. |
Barnacle: The Barnacle is one of the “binker barn” homes designed by William Turnbull. Although the binker barn style is “reflective of the working building form of the region,” the Barnacle itself evokes an atmosphere of utmost comfort and serenity. Beachside colors of sea foam and sand compliment the natural wood interior. The Barnacle is an easy stroll to the Ohlson Recreation Center or bluff top trail. |
Deyoung: Nestled among the cypress trees above Blackpoint Beach, the Deyoung is one of the “Hedgerow Houses,” designed by Joseph Esherick. Although it was remodeled in 2002 the Deyoung has kept its natural cozy charm and sod roof. Nearly every room enjoys magnificent views of crashing waves along Del Mar Point. Deyoung is a great retreat for the whole family since you are in walking distance to Blackpoint Beach, Moonraker Recreation Center and The Sea Ranch Lodge.

Esherick: The Esherick home is one of the original six Sea Ranch homes. Joseph Esherick not only designed this house, but also called it home. A wonderful path meanders across a footbridge and over a brook, down to the stone patio. Even though the amenities have been updated, the original architectural feel and style remain the same as when Joe lived there. Park the car, because the bluff top trail, Blackpoint Beach, Moonraker Recreation Center and The Sea Ranch Lodge are all in walking distance.

Galleons Point: Galleons Point is located on 1.5 acres on its own peninsula. This design won architects Mc Cue, Boone and Tomsick the American Institute of Architects Honor award in 1970. Galleons Point has been restored to conform to the original plan and ambiance. From the entry level this home offers incredible breath taking views in 3 directions. If you don’t first find the sweeping south coast view distracting, you can enjoy a good book from the solarium couch. Sweeping north coast views from the kitchen – living area enhance lively conversation while dining. Last but not least, set sail from the west facing master bedroom. Whether you are here to enjoy peaceful seclusion or dramatic winter storms, Galleons Point has a room for you.
