Crow's Nest

Crow’s Nest, with its' iconic shed-roof tower and interior court garden, stands sentinel before a thickly forested tree line on a grassy hillside at the beginning of what has become known worldwide as The Sea Ranch.

Conceived and designed by the pre-eminent architect, Don Jacobs, who along with Turnbull, Moore, Escherick, and Bowman, established the renowned architectural aesthetic that defines the Sea Ranch's classic period from 1966 to 1975, Crow's Nest continues to exemplify the vision and philosophy of that era.

Award-winning in its' environmentally integrated design that compliments the rugged windswept landscape of the Northern California coast, Crow's Nest offers unrivaled 180 degree views of the Majestic Pacific Ocean
while at once preserving a discreet privacy for its' inhabitants.

Climb the spiral staircase to the tower room for unending rooftop vistas north and south or sit ensconced in the niche window seat and watch the Humpback Whales breach and spout on their journey south to birth their calves in Scammon's lagoon.

At days end, after long walks along the bluffs and beaches, settle into the hot tub and relax under a canopy of stars.

Crow's Nest continues to be owned and maintained by its' original owner.
