Designed by Bob Hartstock, the Wave is a truly unique creation meant to be occupied by a couple. Starting from the curved roofline outside the home, to the labor of love on the details inside, this is not a home to be taken for granted. The sweeping first level is one flowing space encompassing living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedroom suite, with curves minimizing the need for walls. An efficient wood stove provides warmth - both physical and atmospheric and is supplemented with a space heater. Windows along the western facade of the home provide magnificent vistas across a huge meadow to the Pacific Ocean beyond. Guests find the kitchen to be a delightful place to prepare meals - not only well equipped with the necessary culinary items but enjoying the same magnificent views available from the living room. An upper level loft provides television. Decks are located at both the north and south of the home. The northern deck, just outside the living/dining area, provides a spot for two to enjoy views of the ocean during the day, and the stars and the moon at night, with a sunset thrown in between. The southern deck, just outside the bedroom suite, offers a very private redwood hot tub (with a view of the heavens as well as the ocean). Worldwide and domestic telephone service is free and there is complimentary internet connectivity as well as laundry facilities. The home accommodates two adults. Sorry no pets.
The Wave is located on the eastern edge of one of the larger oceanside meadows. These meadows are home to a wide variety of wonderful wildlife. A nearby trail through one of Sea Ranch's signature cypress hedgerows leads down to the bluff top trail that runs virtually the entire length of Sea Ranch. Other trails give access to the redwood forest on the ridge east of the home. $536 two nights, $1,433 seven nights.
